Attending advocacy will earn you VOTA approved continuing education credits
Stay informed about evolving legislation, regulatory changes, and payment policies that impact your daily work.
Connect with practitioners from across the state—building relationships that can support your growth, mentorship, and collaboration.
Advocacy is a core professional responsibility. Your participation shows commitment to advancing the field and supporting client access to essential services.
Advocacy Day participation can be incorporated into your professional development plans, leadership competencies, and continuing education portfolios.
Our ability to practice effectively—and for clients to receive the services they need—depends on strong, consistent advocacy. Your individual voice strengthens our collective impact.

I would like to attend the Virginia Occupational Therapy Association’s Advocacy Day on Monday, February 16th (8 AM–2 PM), either virtually or in person. Participating in Advocacy Day directly supports my professional development by helping me stay current with policy changes that affect our practice, strengthen my advocacy and communication skills, and represent our organization in statewide discussions that impact client access and service delivery. This event will help me grow as a practitioner and bring back useful insights to our team. It also provides continuing education credits toward renewal of my professional license. I would appreciate your support in attending this important professional opportunity.
