VOTA is Virginia's leading organization for occupational therapy practitioners and students. VOTA is committed to advocating for and further developing the profession of occupational therapy in our state.
Join us this Tuesday, August 19th, 7–8 PM for the Women’s Health Community of Practice.
Megan Bailes, OTR/L, will guide us in exploring the intersection of occupational therapy, women’s health, and Ayurveda.
Ayurveda, meaning “the science (or study) of life", is a traditional Indian system of medicine that promotes health and well-being through a holistic approach connecting mind, body, and environment. We’ll discuss how Ayurveda’s three key elements—routines & rituals, yoga & meditation, and diet & nutrition—can integrate with occupational therapy practice to support women’s health.
