My name is Brigitte Vincent.  I work with Econometrica Inc., a consulting firm working with CMS on a training event to support Long-Term Care Hospitals in adopting new and revised data standards associated with the Long-Term Care Hospital (LTCH) Quality Reporting Program (QRP).  The training is designed as a train-the-trainer session.  Participants will acquire the skills necessary to help their organizations prepare for changes to the Continuity Assessment Record and Evaluation (CARE) Data Set that will go into effect on April 1, 2016.  The training itself will be offered on November 19th and 20th at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront hotel in Baltimore, MD.  I would appreciate your assistance in getting the word out to any LTCHs or other interested parties with whom your organization currently does business.

To make it as easy as possible, I have included the verbiage that has been prepared for an upcoming Medicare Learning Network (MLN) announcement below.  Please feel free to forward to whomever you think might be interested in attending this training.

Subject: Training Updates for LTCH QRP

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will be hosting a 2-day training event on Thursday, November 19, and Friday, November 20, 2015, at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront hotel in Baltimore, MD.  The event will start at 8:45 a.m. ET and end at 5:00 p.m. ET each day and will be open to all Long-Term Care Hospital (LTCH) providers, associations, and organizations.

The focus of the train-the-trainer training hosted by CMS on November 19, 2015, is to provide LTCHs with assessment-based data collection instructions and updates associated with the changes in the April 1, 2016 release of the LTCH CARE Data Set  V 3.0 and  other reporting requirements of the LTCH Quality Reporting Program (QRP).

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will present on November 20, 2015, on current and new quality measures as well as the use of the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) for submitting data associated with these measures.

Those who register by Friday, October 30, 2015, will receive a special discounted rate on room reservations.
